The Nautilus in its warmest form. When Patek Philippe introduced the 5711/1R in rose gold, it gave Gerald Genta's steel sports icon a softer, dressier read without touching the silhouette that made it famous. The horizontally embossed dial deepens from a rich chocolate brown at the centre toward darker edges, a finish unique to this reference, and it has become one of the most requested combinations in the Nautilus family since the line's steel references stopped being produced.
This 2017 example carries the 40mm cushion-shaped case entirely in 18K rose gold, with the octagonal bezel, screw-down crown and fully integrated rose gold bracelet that define the Nautilus's DNA. Applied rose gold hour markers and hands, both luminescent, sit cleanly against the brown dial, with the date window at 3 o'clock.
