The Rolex Explorer II reference 226570 is a robust and highly legible sports watch designed around Rolex’s long-standing association with exploration. This 42mm example features a distinctive black dial, contrasting white hour markers and Rolex’s characteristic orange 24-hour hand.

The black dial provides strong contrast against the luminous hour markers and hands, while the additional 24-hour hand can be used with the fixed 24-hour graduated bezel to distinguish between day and night hours.

The 42mm Oystersteel case is paired with a fixed Oystersteel bezel engraved with a 24-hour scale. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the Oyster case provides water resistance up to 100 metres.

Powering the watch is Rolex calibre 3285, an automatic mechanical movement with an approximately 70-hour power reserve. The movement incorporates Rolex’s Chronergy escapement and is designed for reliable performance.

The Oyster bracelet is crafted from Oystersteel and secured with an Oysterlock clasp featuring the Easylink comfort extension system.
