The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520 is a previous-generation Daytona reference, featuring Rolex's classic 40mm Oystersteel case and mechanical chronograph configuration. The model combines the traditional Daytona design with the functionality of a precise chronograph.
This 2015 example is presented in excellent pre-owned condition and supplied as a complete set. The 40mm Oystersteel case is paired with the characteristic Daytona dial layout, featuring three sub-dials and a tachymetric scale designed for measuring average speed over a known distance.
The watch is powered by Rolex calibre 4130, a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement developed specifically for the Daytona. The movement provides an approximately 72-hour power reserve and incorporates Rolex's vertical clutch and column-wheel chronograph architecture.
The Daytona 116520 is fitted with an Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel and secured with an Oysterlock clasp. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the Oyster case provides water resistance to 100 metres.
