The watch that sleeps when you do. The Élégante was conceived around a simple idea: a watch you never have to think about. Its calibre 1210 is an electromechanical movement developed by F.P.Journe over several years, built around a two-rotor motor and a dedicated processor. A motion sensor lets it enter standby when the watch sits still, then reset the hands to the correct time the moment it's picked up. That gives up to 8 years of daily autonomy, or up to 18 years in standby, without a battery change.
This 2026 example is cased in F.P.Journe's Flat Tortue® titanium case, treated with the proprietary Titalyt® process. The treatment gives the metal a deep anthracite-grey finish and a harder, more scratch-resistant surface than untreated titanium. The case measures 48 x 40mm and is only 7.95mm thick, so it wears light and low despite its size. The luminescent black dial centre glows in low light. Outer dial elements are screwed in place in steel, and rhodium-plated steel hands keep the reading clean. A rubber strap with a folding clasp completes a watch that feels closer to a piece of design than a conventional luxury sports watch.
